Mission of the Role
The Senior HR Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, delivering comprehensive human resources support across the employee lifecycle. This role operates with a high degree of independence and is responsible for employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR process improvement. The Senior HR Generalist partners closely with leadership to ensure consistent application of HR policies, employment laws, and organizational practices.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Employee Relations & Advisory Support:
- Serve as HR point of contact for mid-level leaders on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Coach leaders on performance management, disciplinary processes, and respectful workplace practices.
- Provide guidance on employment decisions, including accommodations, leaves of absence, and terminations.
Talent & Workforce Support:
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle transactions in HRIS systems.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, hiring needs, and candidate experience as needed.
- Advise leaders on job leveling, compensation basics, and internal equity considerations.
- Partner with leadership on creating and updating job descriptions.
Performance & Development:
- Support performance management cycles, goal setting, and annual reviews.
- Coach leaders and employees on development planning and career progression.
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve engagement, retention, and manager effectiveness.
HR Programs & Process Improvement:
- Lead or support HR initiatives such as policy updates, process standardization, and system enhancements.
- Analyze HR metrics and employee trends; provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Contribute to change management and organizational transformation efforts.
HR Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to compliance requirements.
- Partner with payroll and benefits teams to address escalated employee issues
- Perform other duties as may be assigned or required by management.
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
- Experience: 5 or more years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years as an HR Generalist.
- Education: bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field is required.
- Position-specific Qualifications:
- Experience supporting non-exempt and exempt operations teams (production and fulfillment).
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, ADP).
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Ability to manage confidential information properly.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills and strong attention to detail.
- Computer Skills: Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet applications, HRIS and LMS, or other HRIS system experience.
- Language: Professional written and spoken fluency in English required.
- Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, full time.
- General Working Conditions: Work in an office environment 4-5 days per week
- Travel: Travel up to 10% of the time.

Compensation
The base salary is one part of our Total Rewards package and is determined within a range. The starting base salary range for this position is listed below; the actual starting salary will be based on a variety of factors including experience, skill set, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs and other job-related factors, as permitted by law.
Starting Base Annual Salary Range: $83,000-$116,000
